ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Head and Neck Trauma Registry, is focused on understanding injuries related to the head and neck, specifically looking at people with fractures in the neck or skull, as well as those with a type of bleeding in the brain known as a subdural hematoma. The study involves reviewing medical records of adults who were treated at Methodist Dallas Medical Center since January 2016. Researchers want to gather enough information to help improve the care for patients with these kinds of injuries.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and have been treated for either neck or skull fractures, or a subdural hematoma at the medical center. Unfortunately, people who do not meet these criteria or belong to vulnerable groups may not be eligible. Participants in this study will not have to do anything extra; their existing medical records will be used to gather the necessary information. This research aims to help medical professionals better understand these serious injuries and enhance treatment options in the future.
