Blood Pressure Variability Minor To Moderate Risk Noncardiac Surgery

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how managing blood pressure during surgery can help reduce nausea and vomiting that some patients experience after they wake up from anesthesia. Researchers believe that keeping blood pressure steady at a specific level may improve recovery for women undergoing certain types of surgeries. The study focuses on women aged 18 to 50 who are scheduled for elective surgeries that are not high-risk and expected to last at least an hour.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating, it’s important to know that patients who have certain conditions or are taking specific medications may not be eligible. Participants in this study will receive careful monitoring of their blood pressure during surgery and may receive medication to help manage it. The goal is to see if this approach can lead to less nausea and vomiting after surgery, improving the overall recovery experience.
