ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different methods of managing pain after total hip surgery. Specifically, it is comparing three types of nerve blocks: the Pericapsular Nerve Group Block, the Erector Spinae Plane Block, and the Quadratus Lumborum Block. These techniques are used to help control pain for patients who receive spinal anesthesia during their surgery, helping them recover more comfortably.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 18 and 65 years old, have a body mass index under 40, and be in good health (categories I-III according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists). They should also be scheduled for total hip surgery under spinal anesthesia. However, individuals who have allergies to local anesthetics, certain chronic conditions, or psychiatric disorders may not qualify. Participants will receive one of the pain management techniques during their surgery and will be monitored for how well it works in reducing pain afterward. This trial is currently looking for volunteers to help improve pain management strategies for future patients.
