ClinConnect Summary
The ReSECT project is a nationwide study in Spain aimed at improving thoracic surgery, which involves operations on the chest area, including lung surgery. This registry will collect information about patients undergoing different types of thoracic surgical procedures, especially focusing on those having lung surgery due to cancer. The main goals are to create tools that help doctors make better decisions, track new surgical techniques, and understand how well these surgeries are working across different hospitals.
To participate in this study, patients must be undergoing any type of thoracic surgery, particularly those needing anatomical lung resection. This means that if you're having surgery to remove part of your lung, you might be eligible. Participants can expect that their surgery experiences and outcomes will be recorded, helping improve future care for patients. Importantly, joining the study is voluntary, and anyone who chooses not to participate will not be affected in their treatment.
