ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method to help detect if a kidney transplant is being rejected by the body. Researchers are looking at using small skin grafts taken from the same donor as the kidney to see how well they can tell if the transplanted kidney is being rejected. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose kidney transplant rejection early, which can help doctors start treatment sooner if needed.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have serious kidney disease that requires a kidney transplant. You will need to attend follow-up appointments regularly after your surgery for the first year, which includes weekly visits initially, then less frequent visits as time goes on. It’s important that you agree to participate and understand what the study involves. However, this trial is not for everyone—people with certain health issues, like untreated cancer or serious heart problems, cannot join. If you're interested in learning more or think you might qualify, talk to your doctor.
