ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well a special type of ultrasound, called speckle tracking echocardiography, can measure the heart function of unborn babies (fetuses) and newborns (neonates). The researchers want to compare heart function between babies with structural heart diseases, those who are not growing properly (fetal growth restriction), and healthy babies. The goal is to better understand how these conditions affect heart health before and after birth.
To participate in this study, you should be pregnant and meet certain criteria. You could be eligible if you have a fetus with a structural heart disease, a fetus showing signs of growth issues, or if you're expecting a healthy baby. Participants will need to understand Dutch and provide informed consent. Throughout the trial, participants can expect careful monitoring of their baby's heart function using advanced ultrasound techniques. It’s important to know that the study is currently recruiting eligible participants, and it excludes pregnancies with multiple babies or known genetic issues.
