ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Adherence by Music to Exercise in Dementia: Group Therapy," is looking at how a special program that combines music and video with group exercises can help older adults with moderate dementia. The study aims to see if this type of therapy can improve motivation, physical abilities, thinking skills, and overall well-being for participants living in nursing homes.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be 65 years or older, diagnosed with moderate dementia (indicated by a specific score on a common memory test), and have been living in a nursing home for at least 30 days. They should also be able to stand for a short time with some support. However, people who have serious hearing or vision problems, are recovering from major injuries, or have disabilities that affect their future health may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in enjoyable group activities that may help them feel better both physically and mentally.
