ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how two different types of mouthwash—Listerine and Lumineux Oral Essentials—affect the bacteria and viruses in your mouth and gut. If you join the study, you will be randomly assigned to use one of the mouthwashes or plain water for rinsing your mouth twice a day. The study will last about 180 days, and you’ll need to come in for around five visits, each lasting about 15 to 30 minutes. Some participants may also need to collect a small sample of their stool at home using a special kit.

To be eligible for this study, you should be a healthy adult aged 18 to 25 with good or slightly bleeding gums and at least 20 teeth (not counting wisdom teeth). You should also be willing to attend all scheduled visits and follow-up calls. However, if you've taken antibiotics in the last three months or have certain health conditions, you may not be able to participate. Overall, this study aims to help us understand how mouthwashes can influence oral and gut health, which could be important for treating infections.
