ClinConnect Summary

The UCSD RELINK trial is a research study designed to help adults who have had involvement with the justice system improve their access to healthcare services. The main goal of this study is to find out which teaching methods work best for these individuals to understand and use health services effectively. Participants will either work with a health coach in 12 sessions or complete an online training course over 12 weeks. The study will look at whether these methods make it easier for people to get health insurance and continue using health services over time.

To join the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, live in San Diego County, and have been involved with the justice system in the last three years, like being on probation or parole. You should also be able to understand English and have access to a cell phone. Throughout the study, participants will fill out surveys at six months and one year to help researchers see how well the program works. This is a great opportunity for eligible individuals to gain valuable knowledge and support for their health needs.
