ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how healthcare providers can help low-income families receive tax credits by referring them to a tax filing app. The study aims to see if these referrals can encourage more parents, especially those with young children, to file their taxes and benefit from available tax credits. About 100 women with children under six years old will participate, and they will complete surveys before, during, and after tax season to understand how often they file their taxes, how easy they find the app to use, and if using the app improves their and their child's health and access to healthcare.
To take part in this study, participants need to have an income of less than $75,000 a year, have at least one child under six years old, possess a valid tax ID, and have access to the internet. Participants will be recruited from health programs and clinics in Los Angeles, and they can expect support and information throughout the process. It's important to note that individuals experiencing a serious mental health crisis will not be eligible to join the study.
