ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how to make the process of intubation—where a tube is placed in the throat to help with breathing during surgery—more comfortable for patients. Researchers want to compare two different methods of intubation to see which one is better during general anesthesia for surgeries related to the stomach or reproductive system.

To participate, you need to be between the ages of 18 and 75, be able to understand and communicate in Norwegian, and be in good overall health according to a specific classification system. You won’t be able to join if you have certain medical conditions, such as being very overweight, having issues with your upper airways, or if your intubation is expected to be difficult. If you take part in the trial, you can expect to be closely monitored during the intubation process to see how you respond to the different methods being tested. The goal is to find the best way to help patients feel more comfortable during this important procedure.
