ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how motor imagery, which is the mental practice of movements, can help improve balance in people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The researchers want to find out if imagining yourself doing balance exercises is just as helpful as actually doing those exercises. They will measure the results using a tool called the Berg Balance Scale, which assesses how well someone can maintain their balance. Additionally, they are looking at whether this mental practice can help reduce the fatigue that often comes with physical activities for individuals with MS.
To participate in this study, you need to have a confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and score less than perfect on the Berg Balance Scale, meaning you may have some balance issues. However, if you currently have a perfect score on this scale or are already in a program to improve your balance, you won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in both mental and physical balance exercises and help researchers learn more about effective ways to improve balance while managing fatigue in people with MS.
