ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a type of therapy called Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help older adult family caregivers who are experiencing intense grief before the loss of a loved one. The study aims to see how effective ART is for these caregivers and to learn more about what helps some people respond better to the therapy. If you are a primary caregiver for a family member who is expected to live less than a year and are feeling significant grief, you might be eligible to participate.
To join the trial, you need to be the main caregiver for someone who is seriously ill, and your feelings of grief must be strong enough that a screening test shows you need help. It's important that you are not currently experiencing thoughts of suicide or have serious mental health issues. Participants will receive ART, which is designed to help reduce grief and improve emotional well-being. Throughout the study, researchers will monitor how participants respond to the therapy and gather feedback on their experiences. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, and everyone is welcome to apply regardless of gender.
