ClinConnect Summary
The IMPACt-LBP trial is studying a new way to care for people with low back pain (LBP) to see if it helps them feel better and move more easily. The trial will compare a special care model called the primary spine practitioner (PSP) model to the usual care most patients receive. Researchers want to find out if those who receive care from a PSP report less pain and better physical function after three months.
If you are 18 years or older and visiting a clinic for low back pain, you may be eligible to participate. To join, you simply need to agree to take part and fill out a questionnaire about your pain and physical abilities. However, if you have certain serious symptoms, like loss of bowel or bladder control, you won't be able to participate. If you decide to join, you can expect to complete a survey at the start and again after three months to help the researchers understand how effective this new care model is.
