ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well different ways of delivering medications can help people with chronic rhinitis, which is a condition that causes symptoms like a runny or stuffy nose. The researchers want to find out if using a high-pressure nasal irrigation method with the medications azelastine and mometasone works better than the standard nasal sprays that use a lower pressure. Over six months, participants will use one of three treatment options: a saline rinse followed by azelastine and mometasone sprays, just mometasone with saline irrigation, or both azelastine and mometasone with saline irrigation.
To join the study, participants must be adults aged 18 or older who have been diagnosed with chronic rhinitis and are willing to try these treatments for six months. However, people with certain other nasal problems, those using specific medications, smokers, and pregnant or breastfeeding women cannot participate. If you decide to participate, you’ll be closely monitored to see how well the different treatments work for you, and you’ll be contributing to important research that could help others with similar conditions in the future.
