ClinConnect Summary
The PHOENICS trial is focused on helping people in Lebanon quit smoking, whether they smoke cigarettes or use waterpipes. In Lebanon, a large number of adults struggle with tobacco use, and this study aims to find the best ways to support them in quitting by using phone-based programs. The researchers want to see how effective these programs are in helping smokers stop and improve their health.
To be part of this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, live in the Greater Beirut Area, and currently smoke cigarettes daily or use a waterpipe regularly. You should also be interested in quitting and be reachable by phone. If you join, you can expect to receive support and resources to help you on your journey to quit smoking. This trial is important because it seeks to make quitting smoking more accessible for those who need it most in Lebanon.
