ClinConnect Summary
The Vascular Lab Resource (VLR) Biorepository study is looking into how certain biological markers in the body relate to various heart and blood vessel diseases, such as heart disease, peripheral artery disease, and blood clots. The goal of this research is to create a valuable resource that can be used by doctors and researchers at Cleveland Clinic to better understand and treat these conditions. By collecting samples from participants, the study aims to foster collaboration between clinical and laboratory teams, which could lead to new insights and improvements in patient care.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to provide informed consent, meaning you understand what the study involves. You should also have been diagnosed with or be at risk for cardiovascular or metabolic diseases. However, if you have a life expectancy of six months or less, are currently pregnant, or have severe anemia, you wouldn’t be eligible. If you join, you can expect to contribute to important research that could help many people facing similar health issues in the future.
