ClinConnect Summary
The ND-PLT trial is a research study taking place at the Cleveland Clinic that aims to learn more about how platelets—small cells in our blood that help with clotting—work in healthy people. Researchers are particularly interested in understanding how platelets can become activated and contribute to inflammation and blood clotting issues in various diseases. By studying healthy volunteers, the team hopes to discover new ways to prevent or treat these conditions in the future.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 65. Unfortunately, if you've taken blood-thinning medications in the last 10 days or have certain blood disorders, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you'll have a simple blood draw, which will help researchers collect information about your platelets. This is a great opportunity to contribute to important medical research that could benefit many people in the future!
