ClinConnect Summary
The Communicate Study Partnership is focused on improving healthcare for Aboriginal patients in the Northern Territory by making sure they receive care that respects their culture and language. The goal is to train healthcare providers to be more culturally aware and to increase the use of Aboriginal interpreters and health practitioners in hospitals. This means that Aboriginal patients will be able to communicate in their first language, which can lead to a better healthcare experience and improved health outcomes.
If you are an Aboriginal patient, an Aboriginal interpreter, or a healthcare provider, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will take part in interviews, surveys, and observations to help evaluate how well the study is working. There are no specific exclusions, so anyone who meets the inclusion criteria can join. By participating, you can help shape a healthcare system that better serves Aboriginal people and contributes to a more culturally safe environment.
