ClinConnect Summary
The Virtual Promotoras Study is a research project aimed at improving sexual health for young Latina women living in Alabama. Many young Latina women face challenges in accessing sexual health care, and this study is looking to create a supportive online space where they can learn about sexual health in a comfortable and culturally relevant way. The goal is to test how effective this digital program can be in promoting better health practices among participants.
To join the study, participants need to be Latina women aged 16 to 21 who have not visited a healthcare provider for preventive or sexual health care in the last 18 months and have lived in Alabama for at least five years. Unfortunately, the study currently can only accommodate those who speak English or Spanish, so participants who speak other languages won't be eligible. If you qualify and choose to participate, you can expect to engage in activities and discussions that will help you understand and take charge of your sexual health in a safe environment.
