ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding chronic anterior shoulder instability, which often occurs after a shoulder dislocation. This condition can be especially common among military personnel and athletes, and it can lead to repeated dislocations, causing more damage and disability over time. The study aims to gather information specifically from military members who have experienced their first shoulder dislocation to help better classify and treat this issue.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be military members who have had a true first episode of shoulder dislocation. Both men and women are welcome to join, but they need to be able to read and write in French and must agree to participate. Those with a history of shoulder dislocations, certain medical conditions, or other specific exclusions will not be able to take part. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, once it starts, those involved can expect to contribute valuable information that could improve shoulder care for military personnel in the future.
