ClinConnect Summary
The WISER Study is a research project aimed at understanding if web-based tools can help improve well-being and reduce feelings of burnout. Participants will engage in activities that encourage positive thinking, such as reflecting on good experiences or writing letters of gratitude. The entire study takes place online, and participants will receive reminders via email or text to complete these activities. Researchers will check in with participants using brief surveys before they start, and again at various points over the next year, to see how these tools affect their stress, depression, and overall mental health.
To join the study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have some basic computer skills. While the study is particularly targeting healthcare workers, anyone over 18 can participate. It's important to note that there are no direct benefits guaranteed from taking part in this study, but you might experience some improvements in your well-being. The risks are minimal, but some people might feel a bit emotional when reflecting on their experiences with burnout.
