ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods for monitoring Crohn's disease, which is a condition that causes inflammation in the digestive system. The trial will compare the effectiveness of intestinal color ultrasound and capsule endoscopy, a procedure where a small camera is swallowed to take pictures of the intestines. Researchers want to see how well these two methods can track changes in the disease over time, particularly before and after treatment.
To participate in this study, individuals must have a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's disease and currently show signs of active disease. Participants will undergo both tests at the start of the study and again three months later. It's important to know that people who have certain medical issues that make capsule endoscopy unsafe, or those deemed unsuitable by the study team, will not be able to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how best to monitor Crohn's disease using these two different approaches.
