ClinConnect Summary
The "Big Feelings" clinical trial is studying how therapy can help children and teenagers aged 8 to 15 who are dealing with emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult behaviors. The main goal is to understand how managing negative emotions can affect how well these kids respond to therapy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive a specific type of therapy called MATCH-ADTC or to be placed on a waitlist. Throughout the study, both children and their parents will complete various assessments to track their symptoms and progress.
To be eligible for the trial, children must be between 8 and 15 years old and able to speak English. Their parents should also be over 18 and speak English. Families seeking help for anxiety, depression, or behavior problems can apply. However, children with certain conditions, like severe mental health issues or those who cannot participate in research tasks, will not be included. Participants can expect to engage in regular assessments and learn more about their emotions while receiving support through therapy. This study aims to provide valuable insight into how therapy can effectively help young people overcome their emotional challenges.
