ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve the quality of life for older adults with type 2 diabetes through a peer-supported self-care program. Type 2 diabetes is a long-term condition that can greatly affect a person’s daily life and well-being. The trial aims to help participants manage their diabetes better and feel less stressed about it by connecting them with peers who understand their challenges. This support can be vital, especially for those who may feel isolated or overwhelmed by their condition.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 60 years old, have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for over a year, and be able to communicate in either Malay or English. They should also be able to carry out daily activities on their own and have access to a smartphone with the internet. The trial is an opportunity for participants to learn more about diabetes management while receiving support from others in similar situations, which can lead to better health outcomes and a more fulfilling life.
