ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special therapy called JASPER can help children with Down Syndrome, specifically those aged 3 to 7 years. The study will compare two different ways of helping caregivers support their children's development. One group will receive one-on-one coaching using the JASPER approach, which focuses on improving communication and play skills. The other group will learn through a self-directed educational program. The goal is to see how both methods affect the child's behavior and development, as well as how well caregivers can use the strategies they learn.
To be eligible for this study, children must have a confirmed diagnosis of Down Syndrome, be able to walk on their own, and speak English. Caregivers should be willing to participate in either the coaching sessions or the educational program. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s important to note that children with certain types of Down Syndrome or significant hearing or vision problems may not qualify. Participating families can expect to be involved in a supportive learning environment that aims to enhance their child's growth and skills.
