ClinConnect Summary
The Healthy Starts: Repeated Exposure Pilot trial is studying how often babies should be introduced to new vegetables to help them learn to accept different foods. Research shows that giving children multiple chances to try new foods can help them develop better eating habits. In this trial, we will test three different schedules for introducing a new vegetable to see which one works best for helping infants enjoy these foods.
To participate, caregivers must be at least 18 years old and have infants who are 9 to 12 months old, born on time (after 37 weeks), and not facing any medical issues that affect feeding. The trial is currently looking for families living in the Denver Metro area who can speak either English or Spanish. If eligible, participants will be guided on how to introduce the new vegetable to their babies and will help us understand the best way to encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.
