ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how effective a program that combines adapted physical activity and therapeutic education is for patients experiencing ongoing symptoms from Lyme disease. Lyme disease, caused by bacteria carried by ticks, can lead to chronic issues, including problems related to the nervous system. The researchers want to see if helping patients increase their physical activity and providing them with education about their condition can improve their overall health and well-being.
To participate in this trial, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been experiencing symptoms for more than six months. Additionally, you should be referred to the study by your doctor and currently be doing less than 150 minutes of physical activity each week, which is the general recommendation for healthy adults. However, if you have serious heart or breathing issues, or certain joint problems that make physical activity difficult, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in a structured program that includes physical activity tailored to their abilities as well as educational support about managing their condition. This could be a great opportunity for those looking to improve their quality of life while managing the effects of Lyme disease.
