ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special program designed to prevent falls can help older women who have recently had total knee replacement (TKR) surgery. The researchers want to see if combining this fall prevention program with regular physical therapy can reduce the number of falls, improve balance, and enhance everyday functioning better than just using standard physical therapy alone. The study will involve women aged 60 and older who have osteoarthritis and have undergone a single knee replacement at Al-Razi orthopedic hospital.
If you or someone you know is a female aged 60 or older who fits this description, you might be eligible to participate. Participants will be asked to join this study for about 24 weeks, where they will receive either the fall prevention program alongside regular therapy or just the regular therapy. This trial is currently seeking participants, and it’s important to note that women with certain health conditions or recent surgeries might not qualify. Overall, this research aims to find better ways to help older adults stay safe and healthy after knee surgery.
