ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how people with Alzheimer's disease and a specific type of frontotemporal dementia remember personal experiences, often referred to as autobiographical memory. The researchers want to understand how these patients retrieve specific memories and plan to use detailed methods to analyze this process. By focusing on these memory challenges, the study aims to contribute valuable insights into the memory difficulties faced by individuals with these conditions.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or the behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia. They should also have a Mini Mental State Examination score of more than 24 out of 30, indicating that they can engage in the study. Importantly, participants must be able to agree to join the study themselves, and those with other major psychiatric or neurological disorders, minors, or adults under guardianship are not eligible. If you or a loved one qualifies for this study, you can expect to contribute to meaningful research that may help improve understanding and treatment of memory issues related to these diseases.
