ClinConnect Summary

The "Welcoming by Design Pilot" is a study aimed at making HIV clinics in Uganda more welcoming and comfortable for patients. This involves changing how the clinics are set up and improving the physical spaces to help reduce stigma around HIV, which can sometimes make patients feel unwelcome. The goal is to see if these changes can help patients stay engaged in their care and have a better overall experience at the clinic. Researchers will look at how well these new designs work and whether they cause any issues for the clinic staff or operations.

To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older who is receiving care at one of the clinics involved. You should be able to understand and provide consent for interviews or surveys, and you need to speak either English or Luganda, which is the local language. If you join the study, you can expect to share your thoughts and experiences about the changes made in the clinic, helping to shape a better environment for current and future patients.
