ClinConnect Summary

The Mind Programme for Women With Breast Cancer is a clinical trial designed to help women who are being treated for breast cancer. This program combines techniques like mindfulness and acceptance to support women during and after their treatment. The goal is to improve their mental well-being and help them cope with the challenges of their diagnosis and treatment. Previous small studies have shown that this program may help reduce feelings of anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, but more research is needed to confirm these findings.

To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 70 who have been diagnosed with early to mid-stage breast cancer and are currently receiving radiotherapy at a specific hospital may be eligible. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the Mind Programme or a support group, allowing researchers to compare which option is more effective in improving quality of life and mental health. All participants will eventually receive the best intervention based on the results. This study will also look at other factors, like biological markers, to see how these programs affect overall health.
