ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different methods of pain relief for patients undergoing knee surgery. Specifically, it compares three types of nerve blocks—femoral nerve block, adductor canal block, and a method known as 4in1 block—to see which one provides the best pain control during and after the surgery. The goal is to find a simple and effective way to manage pain, which can help patients recover more comfortably and avoid side effects from stronger pain medications.
To participate in this study, patients need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for knee surgery. They should have a mild to moderate health status, as defined by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). However, patients with certain conditions, like bleeding disorders or allergies to local anesthetics, as well as those who are pregnant, cannot take part. If eligible, participants can expect to receive one of the nerve blocks during their surgery, and the researchers will monitor how well it works in managing their pain. Overall, this study aims to improve pain relief options for knee surgery patients.
