ClinConnect Summary
The COM-B Asthma Questionnaire trial is looking into ways to help people with asthma stick to their treatment plans better. Even though asthma is a common lung condition that can be managed with the right medications, many patients do not follow their treatment as prescribed. This study aims to create a simple questionnaire that will help healthcare providers understand the personal challenges that patients face regarding their treatment. By identifying these psychological and behavioral factors, doctors can tailor their approach to better meet each patient's needs.
To join this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with asthma by a healthcare professional. They should also be currently using maintenance treatment, which often includes an inhaled medication to control their asthma. If someone decides to participate, they will fill out the questionnaire and help researchers find better ways to support patients with asthma in sticking to their treatment plans. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it’s important that potential participants can understand the study and give their consent.
