ClinConnect Summary
The COOKER-BLADDER Trial is a research study that looks at how different diets might affect the health of the urinary bladder. Specifically, the study is interested in understanding how what we eat can change certain cells and markers in urine that may be linked to bladder health. Participants in the trial will be asked to follow a specific diet for a certain period of time, after which their urine will be tested. Then, they will switch to a different diet for the same amount of time, and their urine will be tested again. By comparing the results, researchers hope to learn more about the connection between diet and bladder health.
To be part of this trial, participants need to be between 65 and 74 years old and must not be taking any daily medications or undergoing ongoing medical treatments. They should be generally healthy and willing to follow the dietary guidelines provided. If you decide to participate, you can expect to follow two different diets and have your urine tested at the end of each period. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to reach out.
