ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the benefits of lung cancer screening for family members and close friends of lung cancer patients. Researchers know that people who are related to or closely connected with lung cancer patients may be at higher risk for developing the disease themselves. The goal is to see if offering yearly low-dose CT scans (a special type of X-ray for the lungs) to these individuals can help catch lung cancer earlier, which can lead to better treatment outcomes and survival rates.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old. If you are a current or former lung cancer patient, you can refer your family members or friends to join the study. However, those being referred cannot have a personal history of lung cancer themselves. Participants will receive regular screening and support throughout the trial, which is currently recruiting. This study aims to empower patients and their loved ones in taking proactive steps towards lung health.
