ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how obesity affects heart health in patients with a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), which makes the heart muscle thicker than normal. Researchers want to understand the relationship between body weight and waist size and how these factors impact heart-related issues in Asian patients with HCM. The trial is currently recruiting participants who were newly diagnosed with HCM between January 2015 and December 2020.
To be eligible for this study, patients must be at least 20 years old and have received their HCM diagnosis within the specified timeframe. Unfortunately, those who were diagnosed before 2015 or have cancer cannot participate. If you join the trial, you will be part of a larger effort to learn more about how obesity influences heart health in people with HCM, which could help improve treatment and outcomes for future patients.
