ClinConnect Summary
The SUNFRAIL+ study is looking at ways to better understand and assess frailty in older adults who live at home. Frailty can affect a person’s health and independence, and this research aims to use a special IT platform to gather detailed information about various aspects of health, mood, and social support for individuals aged 65 and older. The study will involve around 700 participants across seven different centers, where individuals will fill out a questionnaire. Based on their answers, some may undergo additional tests to provide a more thorough evaluation.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 65 years old, live at home, and be able to provide consent to join the study. However, if you live in a care facility, are already receiving home care, or have severe frailty or disabilities, you won’t be eligible. If you do join, you can expect to take part in a detailed assessment that will help researchers learn more about frailty and how it affects older adults in the community. Your participation could contribute to important insights that may improve care for older individuals in the future.
