ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Mentored Community Gardening for Individuals With Skin Cancer," is designed to explore how gardening can benefit people who have survived skin cancer, specifically melanoma and other types. The program, known as Harvest for Health Together Arizona, will teach gardening techniques that are suitable for the desert climate while also addressing important safety tips for being in the sun. The main goal is to see how well participants stick with the gardening activities and workshops.
To participate, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosis of skin cancer, and live in Pima County, Arizona. They should also be in good health and able to engage in gardening tasks, like kneeling and lifting light items. Participants will have access to a phone or tablet for communication and support throughout the program. This trial is currently active but not recruiting new participants, so it's important to check back later for any updates on availability. Overall, this study aims to help survivors improve their health and well-being through community gardening while ensuring they stay safe in the sun.
