ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Segmental Exclusion Syndrome, which affects how people use their arms after an injury. Specifically, it looks at how this syndrome impacts the ability to feel light touches on the skin, especially in the lower part of the arm. Researchers believe that problems with the nerves responsible for touch might be causing this issue, and they want to better understand how it affects daily life for those who have it. To do this, they will conduct tests that measure different ways of feeling light touch.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been diagnosed with segmental exclusion syndrome for at least three months after their injury. They should not have any central nervous system issues or other conditions that could interfere with their ability to feel touch. Participants will undergo various tests to assess their touch sensitivity, which will help researchers understand the condition better and potentially lead to improved treatments in the future. The trial is currently looking for volunteers to join.
