ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring new ways to help people better manage their emotions, especially those who struggle with conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Researchers want to see if teaching individuals personalized skills—tailored to their specific needs—can help reduce the intensity of their negative emotions more effectively than standard methods. They will first test this with a group of participants and then use the findings to match new participants with the most suitable training for their emotional challenges.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and experience difficulties with emotional regulation. This means they often have strong negative feelings that are hard to control. However, those who do not speak English well, do not have access to a smartphone, or need more intensive care than outpatient treatment are not eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to learn different skills to help manage your emotions, and your progress will help researchers understand how to create better, personalized support for people facing similar challenges in the future.
