ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how often patients experience low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, when receiving two different sedation medications—remimazolam and propofol—during hip surgery that uses spinal anesthesia. The goal is to find out which medication causes fewer incidents of low blood pressure while patients are sedated for their procedures.

To participate in this study, patients should be between 18 and 75 years old and must be scheduled for hip joint surgery with spinal anesthesia. They should also be in good health overall, which is determined by their ASA physical status (a system that measures a patient's fitness for surgery). However, those with certain medical conditions, allergies to the medications being tested, or specific health issues related to spinal anesthesia cannot join the trial. Participants will have the opportunity to help researchers understand how these medications work in real surgical settings, and their safety and effectiveness will be closely monitored throughout the study.
