ClinConnect Summary
The Father Inclusive Prenatal Care Study is exploring how to better support young families during pregnancy by involving fathers in prenatal care. This study aims to help expectant parents, especially young dads, prepare for the challenges of parenthood. It offers services like parenting education to help them understand and care for their newborns, programs to improve their co-parenting skills, and support for finding stable jobs. The project will take place at community healthcare centers, making it easier for families to access these resources, with many options available online for convenience.
To participate in this study, you need to be a pregnant woman or the partner of a pregnant woman, and both of you must agree to take part in an initial interview together. The study welcomes people of all genders, but unfortunately, it cannot include those who primarily speak languages other than English or Spanish, or individuals with cognitive disabilities that might make it hard to understand the consent process. By joining this study, families are expected to build stronger relationships and feel more prepared for the arrival of their baby.
