ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is part of a larger project that explores how Virtual Reality (VR) can help people with mental health and substance use disorders participate more fully in society. The main goal of this study is to understand what helps or hinders individuals with these challenges from engaging socially. To do this, researchers will conduct interviews with both individuals who have mental health or addiction issues and the professionals who support them. They want to learn about the experiences of these individuals and identify important social skills that can be improved through VR-based programs.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and currently receiving support for mental health or addiction issues. However, those with visual or hearing impairments, certain neurological disorders, or significant intellectual disabilities are not eligible. Participants will share their thoughts and experiences in one-on-one interviews and focus groups, contributing to the development of VR tools designed to enhance social connections and recovery. This study is currently active but not recruiting new participants.
