ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a special imaging technique called intraoperative fluoroscopy during total hip replacement surgery, also known as total hip arthroplasty (THA). The researchers want to find out if using this imaging method helps doctors position the new hip joint parts better compared to doing the surgery without it. To see the difference, they will look at follow-up X-rays after the surgery to check the placement of the hip prosthesis.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 90 years old, be having their first hip replacement surgery (not a second surgery), and have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35. People who are pregnant, nursing, or have certain serious health conditions cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to have your surgery as usual, and your doctor will follow up with you to see how well the hip replacement is working. This research is still looking for participants, so it's a great opportunity to contribute to improving hip surgery outcomes!
