ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into a condition called ectopia lentis, which is when the lens of the eye is dislocated. The study aims to understand how this condition affects patients’ quality of life, mental health, and vision. Researchers will also examine the genetic factors that may influence the condition and analyze the fluid in the eye to see if it shows any differences in patients with ectopia lentis. Additionally, they will track any changes and complications that may occur after surgery in patients over time.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 3 years old and diagnosed with congenital lens dislocation. They need to agree to join the study with permission from themselves or a guardian. However, those with a history of eye trauma, other eye diseases, or who cannot complete the necessary tests will not be included. If you or someone you know meets these criteria and is interested, this study may provide valuable insights into living with ectopia lentis and help improve future treatments.
