ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to measure arterial stiffness, which is important for predicting heart-related issues that can happen during or after surgery. The researchers have developed a method to continuously estimate a specific measurement called Carotid-Femoral Pulse Wave Velocity (PWVcf) using standard monitoring tools already used in the operating room, like an electrocardiogram (ECG) and a non-invasive blood pressure monitor. This new approach aims to make it easier for doctors to assess a patient's heart health without needing complex equipment.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a surgery that requires general or local anesthesia. If you have certain conditions, such as specific heart rhythm issues or severe circulation problems in your legs, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your heart health monitored during your surgery using the new method, which is completely non-invasive and safe. Your participation will help researchers find out if this new measurement technique can be a reliable tool for improving patient care in the future.
