ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether using virtual reality glasses or distraction cards can help reduce pain and anxiety during the process of inserting an intrauterine device (IUD) in women. The goal is to see if these techniques can make the experience more comfortable and satisfying for women undergoing this common family planning method. The study will look at how these tools affect women's levels of pain, anxiety, and overall satisfaction during the IUD application.
To participate in the trial, women must be between the ages of 18 and 45 and scheduled to have an IUD inserted. However, individuals with visual or hearing disabilities, or those who have used certain medications for pain or anxiety before the procedure, cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to wear virtual reality glasses that show a nature video or look at distraction cards during the IUD insertion, helping to make the procedure easier to handle. This study aims to provide a safe and cost-effective way to improve the IUD insertion experience for women.
