Eligibility criteria

  • Inclusion Criteria:
  • aggressive periodontitis (stage III, grade C periodontitis)
  • nonsmokers
  • at least 20 teeth in oral cavity
  • systemically healthy
  • Exclusion Criteria:
  • any previous periodontal treatment
  • smoking
  • pregnancy
  • ingestion of systemic antibiotics within three months before therapy
