ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new herbal paste called Cosuts, which is being tested to see how well it can fight bacteria in infected primary teeth, specifically looking at a bacteria called Enterococcus faecalis. This bacteria is often found in teeth that have severe decay and have become infected. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is open to children aged between 4 and 10 years old. Eligible participants should have infected primary teeth that are very decayed and have caused pain. The teeth must also still be able to be treated and restored, as teeth that are too damaged will not be included in the study.
If you or your child participate in this trial, you can expect to receive the herbal paste as part of the treatment for the infected teeth. The study will help researchers understand how effective this new treatment is compared to other options. It’s important to know that this trial is focused on specific cases of tooth infection, so not everyone with tooth pain will qualify. The goal is to find better ways to treat infected primary teeth, helping to improve dental health in children.
